What's it like to live in Concord?

I love living in Concord! There’s a ton of good restaurants, nice walking trails (Lime Ridge & Iron Horse), we have two Bart stations and are a stones throw from Walnut Creek.
There’s people from all walks of life, cultures, and socioeconomic statuses, and just an overall lack of pretentiousness more noticeable in nearby affluent areas.
Granted, concord is pretty big. My advice is to narrow your search down to neighborhoods you like.
But all in all, buying a house in Concord was one of the best decisions I ever made and I’m grateful (almost) every day for being able to live in the Bay Area in a town that I genuinely enjoy.
For context, I live near Treat Blvd and Cowell Rd.

I moved to concord and the city is developing really well. Lost of new restaurants popping up. Lots of new developments and the only city i know that still has cheap mexican food. $4+ a taco is crazy when you can have $2 tacos on tuesdays at some places. Also has a costco and homedepot. I made so many home depot runs after buying a house and thank god its close to me

Moved out here this passed august with my wife and my 4 y/o ….we love it out here …I grew up in SF and my wife grew up in alameda ….growing up …concord was never on my radar or anywhere outside of SF/Oakland , but having a family now and just tired of the craziness in SF/Oakland …we made the leap and bought a home out here …we both work in the city on hybrid schedules so it’s all good, school so far so good to me at least, I grew up around the bad part of SF so anything in concord is better than what I had …no complaints, concord on the come up with the major navy projects …

I live in Colony Park right by Trader Joe’s. It’s extremely family friendly so also a little quiet. We like being close to Bart, near both Concord and WC downtown and not too far from 680. Schools are not as great as other surrounding cities like Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill. You should do your due diligence to understand what you’re comfortable with.
