Pros:
Location - close to great hikes, RMNP, Estes, beautiful drives, Less people, Lower cost of living relative to neighbors IE Longmont/Boulder and Fort Collins, not a ton of amazing food options but there are a few amazing gems (Doug's Diner, Henry's Pub), some great breweries (Loveland Aleworks, Verbotten, Brimm Brothers, Crowhop), some amazing communities and great parks,
Cons - Location - (depending on the person) - further from skiing and DIA and Denver activities, Less people means not a great dating scene, though tbf Denver has plenty of people and the dating scene is very toxic, depending on where you live you might smell cow lots from time to time,
Its a beautiful place and very calm and relaxing in my opinion, so if that's your speed then you might really like it.
Also, what others have said that Loveland is Pawnee and Fort Collins is Eagleton is extremely accurate

Born and raised in Loveland, I moved away for a few years then moved back and lived there another ten years. Moved about 2 years ago to another town about an hour south. It is a nice town to live in. I agree with the affordability in comparison to surrounding towns. Not saying it's that much cheaper. Rent for a two bedroom apartment is +/- $1400.
However, they just voted to eliminate sales tax. This has affected public services, which were previously one of the best things about the place. The library is facing budget cuts resulting in less hours and services. The free public swim beach has been closed. Loveland police are not great, but not the worst either. It's a pretty safe town all things considered, certain areas have problems. The northeast parts are newer and cleaner than the southwest part of town.
Fort Collins is going to have more nightlife and entertainment, but as others have said, they are close enough to travel between.

I live in and grew up in the Loveland area and really don’t think there’s any “bad” areas in either Fort Collins or Loveland. I’ve spent a ton of time in Vegas and it’s going to be a pretty big change from what you are used to even moving to Fort Collins. Not in a bad way at all. If you are ok driving a little bit, Johnstown, Timnath, Wellington, Laporte are all small suburbs that you can usually find some cheaper homes but are all 15-20 minutes from Fort Collins. Fort Collins will have more night life but there are still some fun bars in downtown Loveland. As far as things to do, the mountains are very close and once it warms up horsetooth lake is a popular place as well as all the trails around it for hiking and biking. Lots of 4wheel drive trails are close as well. Breweries are plentiful and almost all of them have some sort of live music. I’m sure you will enjoy which ever area you settle down in.
