Best Neighborhoods in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois

Champaign and Urbana share a university but have different downtowns. Urbana's east-side residential streets feel removed from the busier student corridors. Downtown Champaign has a restaurant and nightlife scene that attracts people from both sides of the city line.

A downtown apartment may be easy for dinner but less convenient for parking. In East Urbana, older homes may need attention before a Midwest winter. Because these are separate municipalities, check the address before treating every neighborhood as part of one city.
